I have the same issue and I think that, at least for my webcam it is because
Kamoso sets the Pixel Format to YUYV when the native mode of my camera is MJPG.
In other webcam software that lets me choose the format, in YUYV shows the same
slownes, but changing it to MJPG works fine.
There should be an option in Kamoso to set it, and ideally that would be saved
in the config file
