Myself and another user have demonstrated that the root cause of this is an issue with Plasma's interaction with pipewire, in various ways, not limited to video, or the panels.(grab the most recent attachment if you'd like to experience it in audio form, through a widget, or a stand-alone application like pavucontrol, yourself) We're being ignored - at least directly. Hopefully in spite of the lack of response, our discoveries have been fed to the devs and they'll actually fix it in 6. That being said, set your renderer settings to automatic (not OpenGL) and Threaded, and you'll have the workaround for the issue in the title (and the title of your duplicate), IF you have the right kind of video card, otherwise it will *maybe* fix the previews, and break a bunch of other stuff, and you have to go back to my original workaround of simply disabling previews, and wait for Plasma 6 so we can hopefully not run into this again.... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
