STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. try to launch an app as root from menu
2. you will prompt for the root password
3. your (correct) password is not accepted
OBSERVED RESULT
Password not accepted ("Permission denied.
Possibly incorrect password, please try again.")
EXPECTED RESULT
Password accepted/working
