            Bug ID: 482598
Summary: Kate resets "Next Item" and "Previous Item" shortcuts
                    on startup
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kate
           Version: 24.02.0
          Platform: NixOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
I have "Select Word Left" and "Select Word Right" set to alt+shift+left and
alt+shift+right, respectively. However, these are also the default bindings for
"Next Item" and "Previous Item". Regardless of which alternative bindings I set
the latter two to, or set them to empty, the original bindings keep coming back
on startup, causing conflicting bindings, which I have to fix every time I
start Kate. It does save them to katerc but just doesn't seem to load them.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set "Next Item" and "Previous Item" in the "kate" category to different
bindings
2. Close and re-open Kate

OBSERVED RESULT
The bindings are set back to alt+shift+left and alt+shift+right

EXPECTED RESULT
The bindings should retain the previously set values
