            Bug ID: 482980
Summary: Keyboard repeat does not work
    Classification: Applications
           Product: konsole
           Version: 24.02.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: keyboard
          Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org
          Reporter: istanko...@posteo.net
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
It seems that keyboard repeat stopped working in konsole, or, more precisely,
it fails to start in many cases.
There are cases where it's possible to trigger a key repeat, but it is unclear
how precisely. One thing that I've
noticed is that after switching focus to konsole from another application, it
makes it more likely for key repeat
to work, but _only_ for the first time. Subsequent attempts at key repeat do
not work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make sure key repeat is enabled in keyboard settings
2. Open konsole
3. Press a key and hold it down

OBSERVED RESULT
Only one character is printed.

EXPECTED RESULT
Same character should be repeatedly output, as long as the key is held down.
