After resuming from sleep or when I switch to a different input on my monitor,
the screen brightness is down to 9%. I have to manually align it on my monitor
back to 20-something just to notice that KDE didn't check its current value and
sets it to 9% again.

So in the applet I set it to 20% but after a suspend/resume cycle or when I
switch to a different input with my KDE PC is still on, I see _on the other
input_ that my screen brightness is down again.

In "Power saving" module the "Change screen brightness" option is off, so I
don't know where else to turn it off within KDE.

Anyhow, I switched off DDC/CI inside my monitor which breaks some of other
stuff but it's still less annoying that way.
