Bug ID: 371898
Summary: Plasma spins/freezes when any wifi or wired connection
lost
Product: plasma-nm
Version: 5.6.5
Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: crash
Priority: NOR
Component: applet
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
Loss of a wired or wireless connection results in plasma-nm popping up a
totally blank notifier. Plasma is then useless but hogging all cpu time. Other
applications that were open at the time continue to run normally if you switch
to them with Alt-Tab.
Using:
Linux MINT18 4.4.0-21-generic #37-Ubuntu SMP Mon Apr 18 18:33:37 UTC 2016
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
KDE Frameworks 5.23.0
Qt 5.5.1 (built against 5.5.1)
To reproduce the behaviour:
Boot up with wired or wireless connection to router/hub.
Turn off or unplug the router/hub.
Observe blank notifier and frozen screen.
Login on a tty screen and note cpu usage is 90-100% by plasma.
