Hi Geoffrey,

I sometimes see something like that on my SP3 with the latest build, but less
if Instant Preview is disabled (which is mainly beneficial for longer strokes
with bigger brushes). But with or without instant preview I don't get artefacts
all that often -- and my sp3 is the lowest-spec Microsoft sold. You might also
just be able to draw faster than me, of course :-)

Technically, the artefacts occur because Krita only get two events for the
start start of the stroke, and then it cannot determine that you're drawing a
curve. We have to interpolate between each tablet position to smoothe out the
curve, which is why there are several smoothing options.

So... Which smoothing options are you using? Does changing those options make
any difference for you.
