Bug ID: 487437 Summary: Major Metro Area Now Has No Available Stations Classification: Plasma Product: kdeplasma-addons Version: 6.0.5 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Weather Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: dc.h...@slowlyboiledfrog.com Target Milestone: --- Presumably, the "weather applet" is the weather report widget. Is it? I have been doing this for a long time and I have never seen a "weather applet." I live in Jacksonville, FL, the state's largest city. Up to now, I have configured the weather widget to use Jacksonville International Airport (NOAA). It worked just fine up until today. IT HAS BEEN REMOVED from the application. I now have two choices: 1. wetter.com which does not display the temperature and is thus useless. 2. BBC which is profoundly inaccurate and is without many details and forecast information. Utterly useless. I need JAX-NOAA back! I find it hard to believe that in 2024 I cannot get an accurate understanding of weather on my screen. I do not have gnome installed but, apparently, its weather widget works. BTW, this bug reporting system is going to drive a newbie crazy. Some genius removed version information from "about KDE" in applications. "About system" is MEANINGLESS without adding "from Info Center." Moreover, exactly who decided that you can no longer add widgets with a right click on the desktop? Now you have to do so through "enter edit mode" which, by the way, interferes with some widgets if left open. Some people have too much time on their hands and they are "fixing" things that aren't broken. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: RPMs from Fedora 40. (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 6.04 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.30 Qt Version: 6.70 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
