It's a trade-off between "Trust the device not to have a stupid name" and "Overwhelm the user with nonsense jargon". Currently we're trying the former. So ultimately this is probably a case where the devices themselves should have better names, which should be reported to the PipeWire folks at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues.
