SUMMARY
If you have FFmpeg 6, the current latest stable version, Spectacle won't start
because of some missing libraries.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Check that your version of FFmpeg is 6.1.1
2. Attempt to launch Spectacle, whether via keybind, terminal, or Application
Launcher.
OBSERVED RESULT
Plasma Workspace will send a notification named "Launching Spectacle (Failed)"
with the content: "Could not activate remote peer 'org.kde.spectacle': startup
job failed"
EXPECTED RESULT
Spectacle launches normally.
