Setting the side button to spacebar is a workaround; you shouldn't do that as a
global option, but only for the applications where it makes sense. Make a wacom
settings profile specifically for Krita which uses the default Wacom settings
for the buttons. Then by default, one sidebar switch will pan in Krita, the
other call up the popup palette.
