Regarding the other clipboard issues, If any of those apps with issues are Flatpaks or Snaps, maybe that could be a factor in the reason why things behave that way, but I have no clue. I don't use Snaps, but my Flatpaks don't seem to have trouble accessing the clipboard. I am also using Wayland most of the time.
