In Vmware Workstation, I create a new VM with "neon-user-20240822-0718.iso". The CPU setting was the default, RAM was 3.7GB, HDD was 20GB, no network. I booted to the live desktop, and this recording starts from there. I closed the installer. I switched the resolution to 1080p. (My laptop, on which the problem happens, is 1080p, and my desktop, where this did not happen is 4K. But on my desktop, when I lowered the resolution to 1080p, it happened.) Then, I resized the taskbar height from 44 to 32. (My desktop's task bar height is 36, so it probably doesn't have to be exactly 32.) Then I tried hovering the mouse pointer on the tray icons.
