I quite like this overall idea. Some points to consider - * Considering that we're now pushing the "Plasma" brand. Perhaps we want to look at these apps as part of the full Plasma experience. * From a design point of view, this can mean that the applications can work more closely with integrating with Plasma and working with the Plasma team on having a good experience (Just a suggestion, there are pros and cons) * It leads to some more healthy competition - Say multiple video players existed, we want all of them under the KDE Umbrella, but we just want one which is part of the "Plasma experience". * We could possibly release all of these at the same time.
