Hi all, The physical host running our source code management system (SVN and Git) is scheduled to undergo a major system upgrade, from Ubuntu 14.04 to Ubuntu 16.04. This will involve a couple of tricky steps because we'll be migrating from zfs packages provided by a third party to the zfs packages provided with Ubuntu as of 16.04.
This was scheduled to be done today, but given the importance of the system and the fact that this will require a downtime of 6-8 hours, the upgrade is being deferred to the next weekend. The amount of time accounted for allows for a full rebuild of the system and a complete restore from backups in case the upgrade does not go as planned. If nothing goes wrong, the upgrade should not take more than 3 hours. The downtime will start at 1 PM on Saturday 11 June 2016, Indian Standard Time (7:30 AM UTC), and in the worst case will remain down until 9 PM IST (3:30 PM UTC). If important activities are scheduled around that time, please inform us at the earliest. -- Boudhayan Gupta _______________________________________________ kde-community mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-community
