trying direct communication first is usually more efficient and less likely to 
get lost in the maw of bugs.kde.org. if that fails, then fall back to 
bugs.kde.org.

k-c-d may also not be the most appropriate mailing list for something like 
this which is more workspace related. however, lacking a clear workspace 
mailing list (plasma-devel is the closest we have and gets increasingly used 
for exactly that these days, which is fine), picking k-c-d wasn't a bad idea 
at all :)
