Hi all, Spectacle has been moved to KDE Graphics.
There are a few things that need to be done for a smooth release with Applications 15.12. I'll list them below: 1. Inclusion into the list of applications released as part of KDE Applications. I believe I'll have to trouble Albert for that? 2. Icon. I've filed a Breeze bug at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353126 to symlink the ksnapshot icon to spectacle. Should I do the same for Oxygen? 3. KHotkeys. Once Spectacle is included into Applications 15.12, I'll patch KHotkeys to look for Spectacle rather than KSnapshot. Now, what'll come of KSnapshot? Spectacle clearly obsoletes KSnapshot on X11 (and Wayland as long as KWin is running - if a generic Wayland protocol isn't out by dependency freeze I'll add a generic KWin backend temporarily for this release). However, we have no Mac OS and Windows backends, so KSnapshot clearly still has use in those platforms. What about moving KSnapshot to Extragear? Cheers, Boudhayan Gupta
