Guys,

Here are a list of issues seen in 4.5.3-1. Does anyone have the status
on
whether they are being worked for 4.6?

(1) plasma-panel wraps from bottom to top of screen. I installed my favorite
quicklaunch widget in the task bar. I configured it to use 2 rows like I always
have. I noticed that you could barely see the bottom row of icons and when I put
the mouse over the icon in the bottom row, the tooltip appeared at the top of
the screen:

(2) ksnapshot tries to force .jpeg extension instead of .jpg. Saving the
screenshot above, the ksnapshot dialog kept forcing a .jpeg extension even
though I typed .jpg. A year ago this was bugged, argued about and fixed, and now
kde4 is trying to force the creation of .jpeg files again? Regression, or or did
somebody change their mind and decide to impose .jpeg extensions on all of us?
This breaks a lot of scripts that use the .jpg extension.

(3) plasma dialog windows do not fit contents. The contents of 90% of
configuration dialogs *do not* fit in the default window kde4 draws and you end
up having to stretch the dialog to be able to see the rest of the content in
just about every case. How are the dialog windows being sized?

(4) manage printers dialog needs rework. You have 1 single row of printer icons
streaming down the page with 1-2 inches of wasted space on each side. I have to
scroll to see the 3rd and 4th printer. This should be reworked to a reasonable
layout showing more that a single column of printers. Having the printers
displayed in a horizontal list spanning the dialog width would make much more
sense.

(5) add-widget to plasma panel does not work with autohide enabled. You can't
add an applet to the panel with auto-hide enabled? Dragging the widget to the
bottom, causes the panel to flash, but the panel immediately disappears and will
not accept the widget. This required another reconfiguration, unsetting
autohide, just to add a widget. You should be able to just drag a widget to the
panel and the panel should un-hide and accept the new tool.

(6) konqueror - tree or detailed file view. You still can't place focus on a
file with the red/green markers turned off in detailed or tree view. Focus
should be placed on the file when clicking in the empty space between the end of
the file name and the start of the 'size' column without opening or executing
it. Example:

|Name |Size |File Type |Modified |...
|.bashrc |9.0K |Plain Text |11/16/10.. |
        ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Fixing these would make kde4 seem a lot more put together a make it much more
useable for 4.6.
