Ok, I'll
cp  `kde4-config --path config | cut -d":"
-f1`/kwinrc `kde4-config --path config | cut -d":"
-f1`/kwinrc.bak
 first or something.
and/or create a new user / clean home and copy it across to try to reproduce
if needs be.
