Probably this isn't enough for GSoC, but here is the idea. What about bookmarks in kate? Now you can't change bookmark name, associate any comments with bookmark, group bookmarks. Bookmarks should be associated with session of course. This stuff would be good in Okular too. By the way is there general KDE lib for organizing bookmarks in the application?
