And why would you install kdelibs from there on a distribution that
has all the packages:
just install the package "kubuntu-desktop", that should do the trick.

FWIW: Ubuntu 12.10 by default ships KDE 4.8.x, you might want to
activate the backports PPA and updates PPA, see also
http://kubuntu.org/news for the latest KDE 4.10.2
