Hi !

Unfortunately, as Andriy Rysin will not be able to mentor the Keyboard
layout project this year in GSoC, I would really urge other experienced
developers to mentor the project.

I might seem to be a bit selfish here but, I have been talking to Andriy
about the projects earlier and I have already started getting along and
have even drafted a proposal for the project :

Integrating Input Methods with keyboard layout configuration [1]
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TUf7PZSoAUNMRF123nAiHrB1Ruq-KH-Xh-6s-SS5TMI/edit?usp=sharing

Automatic layout switching based on text input context[2]
only the writing part is left for the proposal

As both of the projects are adding new feature to the module so there is
very less interaction with current module, most of the part is new and I
guess there are a very few places where I can get stuck. Also I have just
ported the keyboard module to framework 5, by removing most of the warnings
and errors due to use of deprecated functions, which has made me more
comfortable with the module than ever.

In the worst case I think Andriy can provide some help, though I will need
thumbs up from Andriy himself along with which he'll be doing me a great
favor ! :)

I am graduating this year so this will most probably be my last GSoC as
student and I really want to participate.
I am really looking forward that someone, please come forward as a mentor
to me for GSoC this year

Thanking You

cheers !

P.S. : I will be doing both of the projects even if unfortunately I am not
able to participate in GSoC this year ! :)
