Hi, As you might know, there is kio-mtp, which is needed for accessing your phones using MTP protocol. Unfortunately there is no active development for it and also most people don't know about it. Last commit from the original author is one year old and I just did port to KF5 ~2 months ago, which seems to work fine so far. I sent an email to Philipp Schmidt (the author of kio-mtp) a month ago, but so far I didn't get any reply. He also didn't response before to my review with KF5 port. My intention is to move kio-mtp to kio-extras, because in my opinion it makes sense to have it there and I'm also willing to help with maintaining it. I'm just not sure what to do, because it doesn't seem right to move a project of someone else without his permission. Another question is if you agree with having kio-mtp as part of kio-extras.
Does anyone know Philipp or have an idea what should I do? [1] - http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kio-mtp.git Cheers, Jan -- Jan Grulich Red Hat Czech, s.r.o [email protected] >> Visit http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-devel#unsub to unsubscribe <<
