To clarify the proposition is just moving the repo metadata to be in the
core kde/workspace folder rather than extragear so it's part of the Plasma
release.
No code is actually moving between repos so it shouldn't make it any harder
for an external platform to use. Though as Ben says, you probably wouln't
want to.
