My 5 minutes investigation, may be wrong:

 * The kdeglobals are at
http://lxr.kde.org/source//frameworks/kcmutils/src/kdeglobals.kcfg

But you can see there that there are not many/any colors defined.

So we go to the code and see
   m_config->setReadDefaults(true);
   icon = createSchemePreviewIcon(m_config);

and createSchemePreviewIcon does
    KColorScheme windowScheme(QPalette::Active, KColorScheme::Window, config);

the KColorScheme constructor does
    d = new KColorSchemePrivate(config, state, "Colors:Window",
defaultWindowColors);

and the KColorSchemePrivate one does
   _brushes.bg[0] = cfg.readEntry("BackgroundNormal",
SET_DEFAULT(NormalBackground));

So to my understanding the default colors are at default*Colors in
kcolorscheme.cpp

Hope this is correct :D

Cheers,
  Albert
