Looks like a very strong proposal. Can you break the timeline down where you have "fix applications" into much more specific apps with timescale. Possibly even breaking down the different bits of apps. It doesn't matter if we deviate from it when GSOC starts, but it'll show that you have a realistic understanding of the problems involved.
Other than that, can you try and get some other random patches into KDE fixing things that annoy you, it doesn't have to be anything to do with high DPI, just help us get to know you. David
