So I tried Windows 7 in a VM, and it is clear now that Windows 7 and KDE4 are converging upon the same user interface. (both are good, Windows 7 is less buggy and a bit smarter, KDE 4 has some more features)
But really, the similarities in their designs are startling. Comparing these two incomplete softwares gives you a window (no pun) into the future. You could, with very little extra work, transform KDE 4 into a clone of the Windows 7 user interface. Just a curious note. I look forward to KDE 4 running on top of Solaris.
