I have been using CBE with the following caveats:

1) cmake-2.4.8 from KBE
2) grep/egrep/fgrep symlinked from /usr/sfw/bin/g[ef]grep
3) m4-1.14 from KBE

on one of my systems, I am also switching between studio 12
and sun studio express using a customized file in
/opt/dtbld/lib/cbe-env.
