Kunal, You can use GCC with KDE 4.x builds if that is what you want to do. No problem there.
What I think Stefan and others are telling you is just that 'KDE for Solaris team' primarily focuses and supports Sun Studio builds of KDE 4.x - not GCC. This is primarily based on Sun's business needs and/or requirements (Sun PSARC rulings) so GCC is not an option for the team to use for kDE 4.x builds or deployments due to compatibility issues with the C++ compilers and other things being worked on. ~ Ken Mays -- This message posted from opensolaris.org
