[kde-discuss] error compiling Qt XX: Command not found

so the Makefile generated by qmake with the lines
CC = $CC
CXX = $CXX

is incorrect ? this would be a bug in qt 4.3.4 and 4.4.0 then. anyway to fix it 
than to debug qmake source ?
