Ben points out correctly that for *some* folk, it is a high priority. There's still no packages available "out of the box," but it's good to know it will build from source, also on old hardware. If anyone has hints on how to set up a good site serving up regularly-updated SysV packages for amd64 / i386 / SPARCv9 / S10U5 / S10U6 / nv, I'd be most grateful. I'm leaning towards fiddling something together with Django, but that's about 2/3 because I consider it a learning project and only 1/3 because I think it will produce something really useful in short term for people wanting to install KDE4 packages. As for IPS, blech. I just created my first package, for FOSShier. It's .. well, IPS seems slow and clunky and the SysV import is in flux and may or may not exist in a meaningful state. [ade]
