I wasn't saying that it wasn't, but notice your CFLAGS include -m64.
That makes your build 64-bit.

You can build stdcxx 64-bit; I have done it. I was just suggesting you
not do that and do a -m32 build instead which would require changing
the BUILDTYPE to 8d.
