The opposite is also true: "if you remove them, and things break, you
get to keep all the pieces" (and there may be more than two pieces).

Have the mmx/sse/sse2 detection problems with the recent QT4 builds
been resolved ? These problems did not exist before the migration to
the "other" SCM.

I am a -- quite a bit -- confused at the approach being pursued here.

It appears that breakage introduced during the SCM migration is not
being addressed, or fixed, but, instead, there are new and improved
proposals for new and improved breakage.

Someone care to enlighten us as to what exactly is the goal here ?
