Hi,
thanks to Gerard, a build machine is available for the project. It's a Sun Fire
X4600 with 8x2 cores ticking at 2.6GHz and 32 GB RAM, building packages that
are set-up for parallel build is incredibly fast.
Ade will work with upstream to plug the machine into the kde-dashboard, so that
when someone's commit breaks build on Solaris, the person will be almost
immediately notified. This should save us a lot of time and energy.

The machine has nevada b124 installed, I updated the
http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KDE_on_Solaris/OpenSolaris page with some
nevada-specific differences. Everything from KDE 4.3.74 builds there correctly
now, except packages that were broken already with osol.
