KPDF was renamed to Okular and it still works perfectly. You can join the efforts of porting kuickshow to KDE 4 (the application in extragear is broken (sic!) and unmaintained now [1]). You can ask your distribution to pack it but do not expect good results. Moreover, you can install openSUSE 10.2 and stick to it. It is the common story, if you do not want Shotwell, but love Solang install the previous version. If you do not want any GNOME 3 things, just install GNOME 2.
