BAD MSG: appparently belongs. An Editor is obviously a basic application for every esktop Environment.
Sure there is a search field (top-left) on the d.k.o page which enables the user to find any existing documentation quickly as long he knows the application (folder) name in the git/svn repo. Judging from bug reports I had to deal with user tend to overlook this search field. Reason why it is now in kdebase-runtime is the script extracting the source docbooks for language generation, this can be easily changed with a full l10n- kde4 checkout. I talked with our famous i18n-coordinator aacid about this issue, he has no oblections if we change that to our liking and needs for d.k.o. I also talked with Dominik Haumann (kate devel) about the location of kate/kwrite docs on d.k.o and he aggreed that kdebase-runtime is probably not the folder a user expects to find this documentation. So it is up to the documentation team where the Kate / Kwrite should be on d.k.o, so I'd like to read your comments: 1) kate+kwrite in kdebase-runtime (as now) 2) kate+kwrite in kdebase-baseapps 3) splitted: kwrite in kdebase-baseapps + kate in kdesdk(?) as in svn, but I'm not sure about any drawbacks of such a split. I tend to 2) -- Burkhard L?ck
