showfoto/index.docbook has:

    <!ENTITY showfoto '<application>Showfoto</application>'>
    <!ENTITY digikam '<application>Showfoto</application>'>

Therefore the entities &digikam; + &showfoto; both expand to 
<application>Showfoto</application> in the html generated from showfoto 
docbooks.
