Slow start I see. ;-) > I didn't try to drive it too hard. > > Claus Christensen, previously known from danish translations and > documentations and stuff, came by and did at least much of the > kglobal::config() stuff. > > I started out by spending a couple of hours to actually get kdelibs to > build - it requires a couple of fixes here and there and also helping a > couple of other people to get the branch build. > > Later on, david and dario came by and david reviewed Claus' patches and > hacked on the test suite and dario helped Claus with git. > > David and khindenberg also discussed various issues. Good to hear all that. Apparently we didn't get a legion of people showing up, so indeed not many people were needed to staff. > It would have been nice to have had a bit more people around, but given > I was the only 'driver' around for most of the day I guess it was okay. Agreed. > What we need for next time is: > - Ensure that frameworks branch builds at least 2 hours before > frameworks day starts Well, I really think it should build at all time. For this particular circular dependency issue which keeps popping up and confusing people, I think we should just force the optional dependency to off in plasma. We already have fairly easy ones like chasing the Q_WS_* use... And yes it goes to more complicated tasks but that's to be expected in our crown jewels. :-) Thanks a lot for the extra insight!
