@bcooksley I would think the CI image needs to ship some general purpose schemas. install https://software.opensuse.org/package/gsettings-desktop-schemas I guess. If it's still not working right with that installed I can take a look at what's missing. The warning does sound rather generic so I have high hopes for having any schemas resolving it.
