So you suggest to not try to find the cause but simply ignore this failure? Which versions are you referring to in "the only relevant change". Guix is currently lacking behind and still has 5.28, which we updated from 5.27 (which passed tests). Between 5.27 and 5.28 here is one change that might be relevant: "Fix unit tests" [1].
