Yep, using `KIO::rename` to perform a renaming sounds fully correct ;-) One possible downside would be a kioslave that doesn't implement SlaveBase::rename, but that's unlikely (especially, unlikely to be triggered from here, which is typically only using "file:" and "desktop:").
