Hey List-

Running 6.1-RC and the latest kde ports:
kdeadmin
kdebase
kdelibs
kdenetwork
kdepim
kdeutils

I actually run xfce4 as my WM.

Under Gentoo I could do the following in konqueror
        sftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]

and it would pop up the "Authorization Dialog" just as it does when doing a
        ftp://[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Under FreeBSD this doesn't happen. It just gives "Authorization Failed"
errors. I did find a mailing list item which has you install a "askpass"
wrapper and set a env variable in your .xinitrc file. This works, but
sometimes it prompts me for the same password multiple times on the same site
in a short time span, plus it doesn't look as nice :)

What setting does Gentoo have which allows it to use the
built-in "Authorization Dialog" that we don't? or is something else going
on?

Thanks.

Henrik
