Hello there, I guess most of you have seen http://my.opera.com/it-s/blog/2010/08/12/www-of-the-dead -- since KDE's migrating to git, the sysadmins are looking at the subdomains hosted in kde.org (such as our freebsd.kde.org) and checking which ones should be kept and which ones are being maintained at all.
I added a note on http://webteam.notes.kde.jefferai.org/10 and said I would start this discussion on this mailing list: is http://freebsd.kde.org worth having? If so, we should also probably start looking at writing the migration rules for svn2git in order to migrate the site to git in the future. My 2 cents: makc usually updates the news bits on the front page, however the other pages usually have KDE3-only content and haven't been updated in a long while. Furthermore, KDE-FreeBSD information is scattered over both freebsd.kde.org and techbase.kde.org. Maybe migrating to techbase.kde.org (actually, we should also consider UserBase as well) altogether would make it easier for user to find what they're looking for? _______________________________________________ kde-freebsd mailing list [email protected] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-freebsd See also http://freebsd.kde.org/ for latest information
