Yes, you need to update using the command line,
e.g. like 
  apt-get update
  apt-get install kdepim-mobile
  apt-get upgrade

if you see more than 3 packages not upgrading, give them a look
and check if you can install them without major issues.
E.g.
  apt-get -s install gnupg
  # only proceed if the changes look sane
  apt-get install gnupg
