Sorry, I didn't express myself correctly. The history is still there, but git log -C -C --follow can't deal with it. I was wondering if e4adcdabf0046389fbefd9c46b29c7d5a62dff40 and ef0d005a9a098c8f56887bd76db560f796c4f480 could be squashed together to a single commit, so that git log can detect it an atomic move.
