Alin, could you please capture gabble logs (and the backtrace of it
SEGVing/abort()ing as you can reproduce the problem? And attach these to
the freedesktop.org bug drdanz created, please.
To capture gabble backtrace set all your accounts offline, kill gabble
and then run on a shell:
GABBLE_PERSIST=1 GABBLE_DEBUG=all /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-gabble
(The path /usr/lib/telepathy/ might be different on your system, try
"locate telepathy-gabble")
Set your account online, hit a few time enter in the shell (so that you
know where the log for the file transfer begins) and then start the file
transfer.
If gabble exits then it's not the other side that gets disconnected, but
gabble that crashes.
In this case again set the accounts offline and run:
gdb /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-gabble
type "run" (enter) set the accounts offline and send the file.
When gabble crashes write "bt" (enter) and copy and paste the output
Thanks,
Daniele
