David Edmundson <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #1 from David Edmundson <kde davidedmundson co uk> 2012-02-18 13:15:44 --- In Kopete you have no concept of "Gmail" or "Facebook". There you create a standard Jabber account, and you can "override the server information" to specify server is different from the [email protected] in your account ID. Which is exactly the same as normal jabber profile and our "advanced settings". So this isn't a regression from Kopete, we just add easy access to the 99% of users who do want the defaults. Besides, if you changed the server to "chat.facebook.com" it's not GTalk anymore. Personally I think making it editable is redundant for most people and goes against the point of profiles making things simple for the vast majority of users and being settings /we/ define. If people want something different to a profile they can simply not use a profile and use the standard Jabber account, and it's no harder for them than if we didn't have the profiles. As I disagree, I'm not going to fix it, but I won't stop anyone else fixing it if they want to.
