            Bug ID: 295962
          Severity: normal
           Version: 0.3
          Priority: NOR
          Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: RFE: A quick way to open next chat with new messages
    Classification: Unclassified
                OS: Linux
          Reporter: [email protected]
          Hardware: Other
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
         Component: text-ui
           Product: telepathy

Currently whenever i receive a message i have to either reach for the mouse to
click on the appropriate chat (or new chat indicator) only to travel all the
way back to the keyboard to reply or i have to use Alt+Tab (or similar) to find
the appropriate window/tab. Both of these methods are fine if you have only a
couple of chats open or you are not doing anything else but as soon as you get
a few chats open or you are trying to work as well the time it takes to get to
the chat makes life rather difficult.

As one example of a solution: in Kopete i could set a global shortcut "Read
Message" which each time it is pressed opened the next chat (or new chat) that
has received messages since the chat lost focus, in the order messages arrived.

Thank you very much in advance.
