A. applying a command line parameter say running kdewin-installer-gui-0.9.3 file:///<drive>:<path> or B. by entering the same url in the download server settings dialog. > it will make life easier for people with kde binaries without net connection. > i would like to say that when i have net access, kde-installer is very > intuitive and easy to use, no need to create another way of installing > kde, as what we have is working very well, only if we get rid of the > extra-step of configuring path and kdedirs ;) > At least the kde installation dir, compiler type and install mode (end user/developer) is required. If you run the installer in mode A mentioned above the download dir and mirror settings are already skipped. There may be an option in the future that if the installer founds a config.txt in the directory where the installer is started the first time it assumes a local install and uses this directory as local install directory by default but these need some more usability research.
